Before you start
- You have created an Monaio account.
- You have connected at least one bank account to Monaio.
- You have access to the AI assistant you want to use.
Use the name Monaio when you create the connection. Sign in with your Monaio account.
You need Mistral Vibe installed and MCP servers enabled in your setup. Administrators can disable MCP in managed environments. Mistral ↗
Open your terminal
Open a terminal on the computer where you use Mistral Vibe.
Check Vibe
Start Vibe or check the installation with vibe --help.
Add Monaio
Run vibe mcp add monaio --url https://financedata-api.subaio.com/personal/mcp. Vibe saves the connection and opens sign-in in your browser.

Sign in to Monaio in your browser, review the access and choose the profile with your own bank data.
Check and test the connection
Run /mcp status in Vibe. When Monaio is connected, try the question below.

You’re ready!
Once you receive an answer based on your own transactions, your connection is ready. You could ask:
- How much have I spent on groceries this month?
- Which subscriptions am I paying for?
- When did I last pay the dentist?
